My tumor appears to be hanging off of the sellar and has grown into the clivus (bone) and into my left sphenoid sinus. And, to make matters worse, they say that my nose is so small that can't do normal surgery. They are going to cut and break my nose, kind of push it to the side, and go underneath the nose. They will also have to use some of the cartlidge in my nose to rebuild the bone that the tumor has eaten through. Has anyone else had a tumor grow in this manner? An ENT and neurosurgeon is going to do the surgery together. The ENT is almost positive that this is a pit tumor, but I see a little doubt in the neurgosurgeon. Regardless they are planning to do a biopsy on it. I just so want this to be over.
