Hi all!! Just wanted to say hi! A little about me... I was diagnosed 8/04
with
a 3+ cm prolactinoma. Started bromocriptine and have been on it ever since. I
don't notice the side effects and in the first 6 mos my tumor shrank about 80%.

I now have my yearly check ups and MRI's and it has been shrinking a little
every year. I just started seeing a new doctor. After 3 years of treatment
no
doctor made any comments about being on birth control. My question is... Is
anyone else on it and if they stopped taking it did it make a difference in
tumor shrinkage? I had been taking birth control pills to make me have my
period because it did stop when I was 17. With my new doctors concerns I
stopped taking them at the end of June of 2007. I did have my first period on
my own in July... YEY! and have had one every month since. Has anyone else
stopped taking the pill and has seen there tumor shinking faster/more than they
have been seeing? My tumor has been shrinking very, very, very little over the
last few years. Thanks for all of your help!!! Melissa
