----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Azzulerya Message 9 in Discussion I'm 41 and was never on birth control pills in my life, and still got the tumor. I would have to argue that birth control is not the cause of prolactinomas (if anyone is thinking that), but likely something genetic. (My grandmother had a brain tumor along with other cancer. She died when I was 1 y/o.) That's not to say that any pills that effect hormones could not have an effect on the condition, but I'd venture to say there is some pre-disposition. All the same, I had an irregular period throughout my life, and now, since being diagnosed, I feel that having a regular period = healthy. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
