Good luck with the Norprolac. My husband didn't have any
physical side effects to Dostinex or Bromo, which is why I think the Endos were
hesitant to attribute the psychosis to the meds. Let us know how the
switch goes.

I live in the US. I was on dostinex since I was
diagnosed a few years back. Then the subsequent switch to
the generic cabergoline when dostinex was removed from the
market. The major side effects for me have been fatigue,
mood swings, anxiety, apathy (and many others), and since the
switch to generic a more noticable heart beat. The most
disturbing thing for me recently is concern for my liver.
I believe that these meds are starting to take a toll. I
am pre-disposed to digestive issues and prior to being
diagnosed had my gallbladder removed. Now I am
starting to experience pain in that same area, which leads me
to
believe the cabergoline may be pushing the issue. As well,
I noticed most of my fatigue occurs after eating (with the
exception of the 2 days right after taking my meds -- I
am ALWAYS tired on those days regardless). I am
therefore considering talking with my doctor to see if he'll
agree to give me a prescription for the Norprolac so I can
order
it from a Canadian pharmacy, and see if some of these negative
side effects go away. Meantime, I have ordered myself some
herbal supplements which will hopefully help with the liver
issues.
Please feel free to contact me if you need more
information.
