I'm sympathetic, so I'll try to help. I googled the term: Acromegaly "ovarian cyst" and got 762 hits. The first is a veterinary site referring to canines, but it sounds intriguing: "Dogs generally develop acromegaly due to excess progesterone secretion (as would occur from an ovarian cyst)." Sounds like there definitely is a link, if people and animals have similarities in those areas. Sorry I can't pinpoint it more closely, but it sounds like you're on the right track. Try a Google search and see if you can narrow down the connection, maybe with the hormone progesterone factored in.
