Willard, Hi! Just saw your entry on this thread. I didn't know you also had
hypothyroidism. As you know, with the microprolactinoma I've been dealing
with, my thyroid has been erratic. It borders on hypothyroidism many months,
very low-normal levels which one of my doctors considers practically
hypothyroid. One month it will go to good solid middle normal level, and the
next it goes quite low again. My TSH, unfortunately, this month rose to 3.75,
which this one doc. considers too high. She likes to see it under 2.25. I do
have many symptoms that point to hypothyroidism, like inability to handle the
cold, total fatigue, dry skin, brittle, dry hair, painful, horrible periods,
etc. etc. I read somewhere on this site that there are others with pit tumors
that have malfunctioning thyroids. I don't remember where i read it though, it
was months ago. I bet there's a connection. I was thinking of going on
thyroid hormone, even though I'm "subclinical hypothyroid" just to see if it
makes me feel better. What do you think? Take care, Cathy
