----------------------------------------------------------- From: Azzulerya Message 8 in Discussion Willard: I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues. May I ask why the dosage increase? Did something change? Are you doing okay? I feel like there have been constant changes for us on these strong drugs we are on... and it is upsetting to think about those who voluntarily take them (especially people who are desperate for vain pursuits). And here we are just desperate to feel like normal human beings again. I'm at the stage you were at before your dosage increase. The 5 hours of sleep. The sudden exhaustion that catches up. The highs and lows. I haven't really done much in the line of research on it yet as it's liveable for me. Though I recently had my prolactin levels tested again, so hopefully I'm still in good shape there (I'll find out next time I go to the doctor's office). OH... and the ITCHINESS... I get that too!!! I'm starting to think that cabergoline dries us out... because now, my tear ducts in my left eye aren't working properly and I've developed three chalazions (styes that became bumps and never went away... or for the more technical -- A chalazion is a focal inflammatory lesion of the eyelid due to obstruction of a sebaceous gland). I've been trying to apply warm moist compresses but to no avail... I'm trying desperately to avoid the knife for these (because I've read they refuse to do the knife repeatedly, and that means to me that they are perhaps destroying tear ducts in the process.) (Perhaps it's not related to the cabergoline at all, but who knows... lol... I always have to question the possibility.... and may even make a seperate post to ask if anyone else has had this issue... you know me... ever questioning... looking to feel better by not feeling like the only freak around... lol.) <hugs!> Azzulerya Elizabeth P.S. If I find any interesting research on the sleep and/or the itchy awakenings, I'll let you know. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
