Hmm.
i'm now reading i.manifest.

In summary, all it seems to usefully do, is run
  "svccfg import [your manifest file]"
{if and only if PKG_INSTALL_ROOT == /}

Is there some hidden magic somewhere, that makes this better than just doing
the same thing in a postinstall script?
(other than avoiding the prompting the user for "do you want to run a script?")

are there hooks in the zone level OS startup that take advantage of this,
perhaps?

Otherwise... using the sun provided i.manifest, wouldnt seem to solve any of
the really "big" zone related problems to do with startup and SMF...., so
I'm wondering how IPS is going to solve them.
