I updated the manual page to this effect. It now talks about "the"
instance instead of "this" instance (since the SMF service as defined
only supports one). The ":default" can be removed from the commands (I
verified that this works).

Okay. If that's the case, then I'd say the man page has a bug in that it
bothers referring to the "default" instance at all.
