Right. We currently keep the JDS and SFE spec files in svn. To be able to identify the spec used, the minimum requirement is a pointer to the repo, the name of the spec and the revision. Probably something similar would work for HG. The problem with hosting these at a different location from the packages is that you cannot guarantee consistency. For example the sourceforge svn server names changed since SFE started. The JDS repo was reorganised too.
