I have also introduced a Type Ahead gconf setting to allow type ahead
search to be turned off, which it now is due to scaleability issues on
large repos. If a user does not use large repos and wants the feature
they can always reenable it by setting the gconf key. To enter a
search you must now hit return.

I have also changed the gui/Makefile to follow the Help File pattern
Dan introduced and avoid the Gui make being noisy again which
changeset 866:1768eb95fd29 caused. As per the published guidelines I
can rerun make and make install without any additional install output
apart from the tree traversal.
Follows on from Dan's fix for: 6303 gui and UM makefiles need help
