Hi Shawn,
After running the pkg install command from below, I discovered that
the sunstudioexpress (compilers and their tools) components were x86
binaries not SPARC.
% file /usr/bin/cc
/usr/bin/cc: ELF 32-bit LSB executable 80386 Version 1 [FPU],
dynamically linked, stripped
% uname -a
SunOS drizzle-maramba 5.11 snv_111a sun4v sparc SUNW,T5140
Is Sparc Nevada the difference Shawn?
What do you mean by "SPARC Nevada" ?
So far, this is the first report I've seen of this particular issue.
Then again, I would guess we don't have many OpenSolaris 200x SPARC
users yet.
This issue is being tracked as:
http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=8904
However, I still need to know what the output of "pkg version" is for them.
Cheers,
