Can't comment on the zones stuff, but:

The usual practice is to modify the last version of the IPS package
definition files, if they already exist. For this case, that would be:
.../src/util/distro-import/111a/common/SUNWts
But creating a new one also works. I'll leave it to David and/or Danek
to recommend which way they'd prefer this to be done.
.../src/gui/data/opensolaris.org
.../src/util/distro-import/119/common/TrustedNonglobal
.../src/util/distro-import/119/redist_cluster
These look fine.
