9387 pkg fix should honor reboot-needed flag
Note that this fix is designed to prevent the upgrade
of files that require a reboot on a live image; it doesn't
yet deal w/ automatically creating a new BE if that's the
desired behavior.

Can you say more about what will happen if the user does try
to do such an upgrade (or fix)? Some screenshots? I think
I know from reading the code, but I'd like to see the user
experience.
# /home/barts/ws/pkg-fixes/proto/root_i386/usr/bin/pkg install [email protected]
Download: liveroot ... Done
pkg: In this case, install would affect files that cannot be modified in
live image;please retry this operation on an alternate boot environment

I don't understand the changes in os_unix.py as they pertain to
this fix.
These work around the libc problem Danek identified (6861990/6831257).

Can you also test fix, uninstall, and whatever else might change
the image?
Ok.

What about the GUI? I would think it might need to handle this
somehow?
They're supposed to handle a new exception type; I'll ping 'em.
