This solves problem #1 and #2 mentioned in bug 11819.
I haven't had time to test it but the easiest way to do this yourself
is something like
$ env CC=/ws/onnv-tools/SUNWspro/SS12/bin/cc
$ make -e install

I don't have the whole onnv-tools here with it's environment, so the
build is actually not getting to the part where SUNWldtp is built.
But when I was trying to build ldtp package only with SS12/bin/cc then I
was able to see exactly same error as you have posted in the bug
description. With my patch this builds fine. If you are happy with
removing -W* warning messages from the gcc I will submit this patch to
the gate.
