Hi Eric,

Thanks for the response. Two follow up questions:

Is it *technically* possible to have a single depot server serve up two (or more) separate repos - specifically I'd like to be able to serve up a /release repo as well as a /support or /dev repo from a single depot server.
No. Please see bug 7653:
http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=7653

If you have additional use cases or reasons for wanting this, please add them to the bug.

Thanks.
Tom

If the above is not possible, do you have a frontend service at pkg.opensolaris.org which redirects to the actual depot servers on the backend?

Hi Jens,

this is not what we're doing on pkg.o.o. We have multiple depots for
multiple repos, for higher load repos we even have multiple depot
processes for one repo.

Erik

Hello,

(How) is it possible to run a single pkg.depotd process to serve multiple repositories as is done from pkg.opensolaris.org?

Thanks
