If the alias name is not unique then <alias> (<prefix>) in the first 4
places listed above and <alias> is used in the Search results.
In the General info tab <alias> (<prefix>) is used for the Publisher if
there is an alias.
You should be able to assume that the alias is unique. The API does
check for uniqueness when adding publishers. The bug is that it
doesn't check for uniqueness when updating them.
I will leave our code as it is until 9218 is fixed.
I have respun the webrev,
