Hi,
Is there a way to install a machine with the moral equivalent
of the "all + OEM" install option that used to appear in snv_* build
releases?
I just setup a build machine from instructions that included about
a dozen 'pkg install' commands that took a long time to run and
was wondering if I'm going about it the wrong way.
The 'redistributable' package is a very rough equivalent if you want
most of the packages available.
However, there's really no group package or otherwise that will give you
a full equivalent. In particular, some packages are no longer offered,
and others cannot be freely redistributed so are only available from
repositories such as 'extra', 'ha-cluster', etc.
Really, your best option is what Liane recommended long-term; it will
benefit everyone.
What they said... also, there's no need to run
separate pkg install commands; pkg install does an amount of work
that's a function of the number of packages already installed on
your machine so when you do
pkg install A B C D E F G
you do that work once instead of seven times...
