Will this change the biweekly import process that would first build
the SVR4 packages and then run pkgadd?
Yes. You'll need to do this:
pkg set-publisher --non-sticky opensolaris.org
pkg set-publisher --search-before=opensolaris.org \
-p file://$(hg root)/packages/$(uname -p)/repo
pkg install pkg://pkg5-nightly/\*
... and before that last command will work, you'll need to run
pkg uninstall entire
to prevent the pkg(5) consolidation from itself being constrained. This
should be familiar to folks who build ON and update to those bits.
So, I did this on a copy of my 143 be to try & test installing the
results of the changes I'm working on. When I tried the steps above, I
got this error:
$ pfexec pkg -R /a install -n pkg://pkg5-nightly/*
Creating Plan /Planning for install failed:
Use -v option for more details
pkg: No version of system/trusted/trusted-nonglobal can be installed:
pkg://pkg5-nightly/system/trusted/[email protected],5.11-0.145:20100723T045949Z:
Required dependency pkg:/gnome/theme/cursor/neutral_plus_inv is obsolete
And indeed, from what I can tell, that package was obsoleted at version 140.
Is there something obvious I'm missing?
Thanks,
Brock
