Exactly: including external packages (i.e. not from Debian nor from
pkg-fso) into the install.sh is a no-op.

Everything is in the Debian BTS:

  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=495487

While reading it, I now discovered that the Sebastian's patch has been
officially integrated into the Debian package, even if AFAIK upstream
has never commented on it.

I cc:ed everyone involved in this bug: since this problem was primarily
discussed WRT the Openmoko FreeRunner, it would have been better to cc:
this list as well.

Wen-Yen, in case you do not find any sponsor before the end of the week
and Neil is fine with that, I can sponsor your package.

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca
