Yeah, I know. What I am wondering is: should we preseed with oldsys-preseed, as kirkwood does? Or use a preseed file like for glantank? The later sounds more reliable. > > * A gta02 flavour of the Debian kernel is needed, but right now, I don't > > really know how to achieve that. > > Gaudenz and Gismo probably knows more about this. Ok, I've sent a mail to Gismo a few days ago, and here is an excerpt from his answer: > I think the best roadmap will be: > > - get used to the Debian kernel building steps, for the official > linux-2.6 package > > - building a clean -s3c24xx kernel package for sid, thus closing > http://bugs.debian.org/503292 > > - on top of the above kernel, apply the needed patches for the microSD > card support in Glamo (which is vital for Debian on the Openmoko) > > - work with such a kernel, i.e., do not loose time with other patches, > d-i does simply need the microSD card working I've built a kernel with s3c24xx drivers, but it doesn't boot on the FR (KP before showing anything else).
