The package FBTFS because docs/make.bat gets regenerated with
differing content:
dpkg-source: info: local changes detected, the modified files are:
dask-image/docs/make.bat
dpkg-source: error: aborting due to unexpected upstream changes,
see / tmp/dask-image_2025.11.0-1.diff.Wf4guF
Since that's only useful on Windows it should probably just be
excluded from the +ds repacked upstream tarball.
The problem seems to be the EOL character that has been modified
(probably by git).
Apparently this is a known issue: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/
bugreport.cgi?bug=719363
Unless you now already a solution/workaround for it, I will proceed
with the repacking (+ds).
Exclude .gitattributes from the repackaged tarball, the eol= directives
cause the rewriting of the files which is not appropriate in the Debian
package context.
We do this for gdal & merkaartor for example.
Kind Regards,
Bas
OK, but this still implies a repackaging (which is fine for me).
I was just wondering if a solution based on "extend-diff-ignore" in
"debian/source/options" could make sense/be more appropriate.
cheers
