Jérémy Lal was active in gettin Nodejs into Debian. I helped out a bit. Mid 2010 Jérémy was [concerned] that the "node" executable conflicted with another package, but early 2011 I treated it as a [harmless] issue and thought I treated it cleverly. I was [wrong] - it became a [major] issue with the technical committee [ruling] that my clever move be [reverted]. That ruling took roughly a month which made it [too late] for Wheezy. First Debian release with Node.js was Jessie, 3 years later. - Jonas [concerned]: https://bugs.debian.org/597571#10 [harmless]: https://bugs.debian.org/597571#32 [wrong]: https://bugs.debian.org/611698#10 [major]: https://bugs.debian.org/614907#29 [ruling]: https://bugs.debian.org/614907#148 [reverted]: https://bugs.debian.org/611698#82 [too late]: https://bugs.debian.org/684044#10 -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist & Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private
