Hi!

As requested by Jonas, here's the RFP.

Is there any reason not to begin trying out approaches to supporting switching jack implementations with packages in experimental?

I could probably be of more use with something to test than I am by trying to participate in the discussion of what to do when.

When new packages enter Debian, they get a thorough check by ftpmasters, which takes time and consumes resources from the ftpmasters team. So we need to be certain of the naming before starting out, to not waste resources unnecessarily.

I do intend to use experimental if necessary to not disrupt theflow of more important packages (read: default JACK implementation) from unstable to testing.

Kind regards,

 - Jonas
