Markdown also supports another scheme which I like, where you can [postpone][] the actual link until later - e.g. in a separate paragraph at the end of same section. [postpone]: http://add.ress.to/postpone "link title -- showing when hovering, and helpful for blind people" Hmm - now that I revisit the official Markdown syntax page it seems actually that above syntax is not MarkDown but (mixture? of Makdown and) MultiMarkdown.
