Makes sense to me.
The need to view completed ones of course makes sense. To suggest that people would be more likely to want to see completed ones rather than the ones they are currently active working with makes no sense however. I guess it comes down to a simple thing : I disagree with the default behaviour. Which make the keeping of undated dates on other planner sheets potentially dangerous IMO as you have to visit the specific page to realise the task is open/in progress/ whatever.
