Only GLX (not GLXP) works at all; all others get X errors.

The chip is an ATI R9100, and I'm using it with the Xorg 7.0 drivers
-- fglrx does not
provide accelerated 3D for this chip, so it wouldn't help.

Same thin-strip-only effect.  But that example maze is not the surface
in terrain.gzb.
