You could take a look at some of the projects that my colleagues and I are

"webmaster" 
is always on vacation these days ;)

We're also planning future integration of our projects into P/S/G, ranging from 
3D 
perception and mapping to manipulation-related things. If you are really 
interested, 
perhaps my colleagues, Alexis and Armin can tell you more about the 
manipulation part.

Perhaps more work could be done to integrate things like Grasp-It with Gazebo?
