Hmm...I haven't heard of this problem before. Unfortunately I don't
have the same  type of graphics as you, and I can't find any related
information. If you want to try fixing it, then I can help you along,
hopefully.

I picked Ogre based on the good reviews, it has a very active
community, I didn't want a complete game engine, and previous
experience with OpenSceneGraph left me looking for a less bloated
alternative with better documentation.
