thanks again for your reply,

and you are right, disabling gzbuilder is currently the best thing to 
do. So this email about "cannot compile and install gzbuilder" was more 
intended to be a report for interested porters/developers/installation 
manual maintainers ;o) - no urgent need to worry about this. (Actually 
this email was sent along with the others, but delayed due to size)

We'll only look at that, once gazebo itself is running...

Unfortunately it did not, as reported on "gezebo crashes" in a previous 
mail. Since then I have not taken time to try the ideas from your reply 
on that one. Thanks a lot, I will get back as soon as there are any news.
