I tried this
$ gazebo worlds/simpleshapes.world 

and got this

Segmentation fault


After that I do

gdb ./gazebo
run worlds/simpleshapes.world

and got

(gdb) run worlds/simpleshapes.world 
Starting program:  worlds/simpleshapes.world
No executable file specified.
Use the "file" or "exec-file" command.
(gdb)
