sudo aptitude install libavformat-dev libffmpegthumbnailer-dev libopenal-dev
sudo ln -s /usr/include/ffmpeg/ /usr/include/libavformat
sudo ln -s /usr/include/ffmpeg/ /usr/include/libavcodec

tar xvjf ode-0.10.1.tar.bz2

./configure
sudo make install

Checkout and compile Gazebo:
