You have to load a new xterm with the vga font, then run it in that.

I'm not sure, but I think the file is corrupt?   I can't seem to boot from 
it or mount it via the loop device.

I noticed that the MIME type on the http download was text/plain, so i'm 
guessing that that was the problem.
