I looked at /usr/lib/libDrakX/Xconfig/ and there seems to be the code for that. I don't know perl too well, so I don't know what should I call to configure the driver (that is triggered when you open XFdrake, press the select graphics card and then just press ok twice). Looking at the card.pm I see there are no other settings set than driver=nvidia, special libglx.so and ignoreedid=1. However, future ati plf package might benefit from calling libDrakX functions to switch the driver, as it sets much more custom options for the ati driver than for nvidia.
