Sorry if I am misunderstanding here - but isn't official supposed to be
the stable, bugfixed version? If not, then what is 2006-official
supposed to be for?

Perhaps I have totally misunderstood, but my understanding is that
"normal users" (i.e. anyone who isn't running cooker) should use the
2006-official release. They then add plf to get the packages that are
legally encumbered.

If I've got this wrong, could someone please correct me? Thanks.
