I wouldn't say half-baked, but partial. I know that no solution can
cover anything. So, are you saying that even if we consider just the
local mysql, local pgsql, and sqlite cases that this would be pointless?

If there was some file in /etc/sysconfig to enable or disable this
behavior, I don't really see the harm in it.

One could make the same argument for networks that some network setups
are too complex for drakconnect to handle, thus we should not even have
a tool to auto-configure the network. This could be said for pretty much
anything that has automatic configuration.
