Before, Mandriva did not have a non-free repository. Then it seemed to be only for drivers and firmwares... But if Mandriva wishes to host these freewares on their tree and mirrors, they're welcome to do so. Then the user feels he has the choice, and has access to some "non-free" apps. (Un?)Fortunately, PLF will still exist for the other apps...
