LCD hinting is enabled in our freetype2, and I'm not aware of any
additional
patches for that.
I'll look into libxft2/cairo/fontconfig patches now.

Yes, I've replaced the pclos package with plf package and there is no
difference.

The previous post has been sent from work. There changing from pclos
package to plf caused no difference. But on my laptop I had to change
default fonts from DejaVu to Liberation. DejaVu were quite ugly with plf
package, but Liberation are OK,
Strange.
