Now, maybe there is no difference between 32- and 64-bit Xvid speed, if Koepi's PE build is making use of the C implementation (which I doubt: I think he's made his build based on the Pentium Pro instruction set, without MMX nor SSE, but with assembly support). Other factors such as the software chain I was using in WinXP may have slowed things down. I may try to install the 32-version of avidemux and libxvid4 and run some tests, but I really don't feel curious enough for now.
