The current status of my part of the effort toward making a CBS-oriented
development release is as follows:

* I have gone through all the steps to make a release tarball and compared
the resulting file list with the 5.6.1 tarball. Some prebuilt files are
missing by design, i.e., the swig-generated Java and Python interface files,
the tclsh-generated (for our CBS) or perl-generated (for our ABS) tcl
interface, and the gcw-generated library interface, but everything that
should be there (i.e., one pre-built header, the built documentation, and
the autotools-relevant files generated by cf/bootstrap.sh) seems to be
there.

* I have finished making a bunch of custom commands and targets to implement
the www-install custom target which implements uploading our documentation
to our website. I have tested the result and it seems to work fine.

The two remaining things I need to do are to make a script that does what I
did by hand to create the tarball and also make some CBS changes so that
prebuilt files in the tarball will be used in the build when they are
available.
