Thanks, Arjen, for that suggestion.  I was debating whether to propose
enabling Tcl by default regardless (since it certainly has no segfault
problems as revealed by ctest), and now you have confirmed that idea.  So I
will follow your above suggestion in detail (unless some other Tcl/Tk user
here has strong objections to the above detailed plan or somebody manages to
figure out the segfaults).
