I should have mentioned before that the freeze on pushes to master should be considered rock hard (i.e., I would want to review all pushes to master as release manager), until this release is completed. By the way, we had absolutely clear weather this morning for looking at the partial solar eclipse that was visible from here and which reached ~90 per cent obscuration. It wasn't nearly as spectacular as the total eclipse experience that is occurring south of here on the totality path, but it was still pretty special because the solar crescent that was left at maximum obscuration was quite narrow. So I was glad I took some time out to look at it with my eclipse viewer, and even without the viewer it was obvious that the sunlight was a lot less than normal.
