I think you are right that the wingcc driver lacks locate functionality, which is unfortunate and should probably be fixed. Also, I don't think any of the drivers support 'click & swipe', 'click and click' is probably the closest that you will come. Are you using any sort of GUI framework now? It sounded like you might be using GTK?
