I think you are right that the wingcc driver lacks locate functionality, 
which is unfortunate and should probably be fixed. Also, I don't think 
any of the drivers support 'click & swipe', 'click and click' is 
probably the closest that you will come.

Are you using any sort of GUI framework now? It sounded like you might 
be using GTK? It is not too hard to build the cairo drivers (or the Qt 
drivers) with MinGW, and I don't think this introduces a MinGW depedence 
in your app as long as you see that the DLLs get included.
