Mark, PIL is the Python Imaging Library, http://www.pythonware.com/products/pil/. It's one of the ways of converting an image in your doc to the Palm format that Plucker uses internally.
Thanks for the suggestion. I took a look at JIMI. It seems to have some rather tangled licencing, IMO, and doesn't support the Palm format, so far as I can see. Bill
