I've got a beta copy of Doc+, which is the Doc editor that was about to be released before Aportis bought it. I could email it to you, if you'ld like. It can edit large files, but doesn't do HTML. It's probably worth a try. You could set up shortcuts for some of the HTML tags... ;) And there is a program written in Python that will convert to and from the Doc+ files (as long as you set them to "no compression" before you transfer them to your desktop). I've been using it to write some DocBook XML files, and then put them up on my website. Let me know if you're interested, and I can send you Doc+, and show you the commands I use to convert the stuff... Later, Blake.
