An ancient version of cygwin (b20) [on an old anemic W95 laptop with 16 megs of RAM], has been able to compile the viewer, after the addition of autogen and a few other tools. The last I tried a cygwin b20 compile was about 3 weeks ago.
There are some warnings of possibly undefined macros at the start, and your mention of @@VERSION@@ doesn't get replaced either, leaving it in the output. Other than that, compilation runs smoothly in this particular setup. Best wishes, Robert
