I'm not sure what the general concensus is on the sub/super script code, but as of right now I'll code it into the viewer to handle the suggestion made by Bill.
Specifically, I'll tell the viewer to do the following: "Go ahead and write text in font that has been defined (default if none). If we receive a sub/super font tag, go one font size smaller than the current and write slightly below/above the previous text. When the sub/super font ends, go back to the previous font face."
