There is a fixed record size for an image (a PalmOS limitation). If it is too big, it gets reduced. IIRC, there is not a default for either one or the other method switched on, making the python parser crash (I filed a bug report on this). You can try adding either one of these keys to your .pluckerrc/plucker.ini for the reduction method.
