This is only because of the hidden "phone-home" keys that Microsoft
puts in the registry each time an Office application is run.

In any case, the point is to eliminate any processes, callers, or
bits that may cause crashes, unrelated to, or related to Covenant Eyes,
Plucker, Python, or Windows itself.
I've been running plain-jane RegClean on my Windows vmware images
for years, including those with Office Standard and Office Professional,
without any problems whatsoever. YMMV though, I guess.
