Hello David,
I am very happt to hear the good news! I wrote an article on going paperless while Geocaching, by using a Palm. Part of the walk through included downloading, installing, and using Plucker. Just recently, however, I had recieved some comments that downloading Plucker was becoming problematic.
If you would like to see the article, "Geocaching in the Palm of your hand", it is published on the following sites: www.cachegear.com, www.keenpeople.com, www.mi-geocaching.org.
If you have any questions, or comments, please don't heistate to let me know!
Thanx again,
Jamie Rich

Mead, we now have another Plucker mirror for the latest releases. I've deployed several methods to populate the mirrors at release time and worked with Matthew briefly to test one of them, so the mirrors should remain current with the latest releases (older releases of course, are always found on the main Plucker server). BitTorrent still remains the most popular means of distributing Plucker, by far, but we're still pushing about 5-7gb/day of downloads. I also updated the download page a bit to reflect the various methods of grabbing the Plucker downloads and releases. I may be adding a public rsync path very soon, so others
can download them using that method if they choose. Thanks again Matthew, from everyone, for helping us spread the word (and bandwidth) around! d. _______________________________________________ plucker-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.rubberchicken.org/mailman/listinfo/plucker-list
